The Project
The project is simple.
Tackle a challenge that reflects how meaningful work actually happens.
Not alone, but together.
Relay Ultramarathon
The task is bigger than any one person.
One runner at a time, handing over a GPS tracker like a baton, moving steadily north-east from Land’s End to Yeovil Hospital, via Cornwall, Devon & Somerset.
Supported by colleagues forming a logistics team, medical team and including a race director.
Distances covered per runner will vary, the terrain tackled will too. Some runners will battle through the night and the conditions will inevitably pose an added element to the challenge.
The success of the project depends not on speed, but on coordination, trust, and adaptability.
Why a relay?
Because relays mirror real life.
In healthcare, in communities, and in charity work, progress happens when responsibility is shared.
People step forward, then step back, allowing others to carry things on.
This event is designed around that principle.
Remaining Values-led make an honest difference.
How it will work?
One runner always on route
Planned handover points with vehicle access
Dedicated logistics, medical, and safety oversight
Continuous GPS tracking available to the public
Clear decision thresholds for weather and safety
This is a non-competitive charity challenge.
Safety and responsibility will always take priority over completion.
